A brand-new website, Story Tellers, has launched to celebrate the rich arts, culture, and heritage of South and East Lincolnshire. The platform serves as a creative hub, highlighting an exciting mix of interactive projects, performances, and events funded by Arts Council England through the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership’s National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) programme.
The Story Tellers website showcases a diverse array of cultural initiatives, from immersive theatre performances and light displays to virtual reality museums and soundscape experiences. It provides a space for local artists, practitioners, and community groups to share their work and engage with the region’s cultural landscape.
The South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership secured £1.95 million in NPO funding in April 2023, marking a significant investment in local creativity and innovation. The funding supports projects under five key themes:
- Re-imagine – Exploring new ways to experience culture.
- Reconnect – Strengthening community ties through shared stories.
- Uplift – Empowering local artists and creatives.
- Activate – Encouraging participation in arts and heritage.
- Leadership – Driving cultural innovation across the region.
Councillors Graham Marsh, Sarah Sharpe, and Elizabeth Sneath, representing East Lindsey, Boston Borough, and South Holland councils, respectively, welcomed the website’s launch. They praised it as a milestone in fostering local talent and enhancing community engagement with arts and heritage.
Rob Pitman of Paradigm Arts described the website as an exciting step forward, providing a platform to share past achievements and upcoming opportunities.
