South Holland District Council has unveiled a fantastic programme of family-friendly events set to take place throughout 2025, bringing fun, culture, and community spirit to towns across the district. From seasonal celebrations to outdoor activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The events calendar kicks off on 29 March with the much-anticipated Spring into Spalding festival in Spalding Town Centre. Back by popular demand, the event will feature the return of the Bake Off competition, hosted once again by Council Chairman Andrew Woolf and Great British Bake Off 2023 winner Matty Edgell, following their success in last year’s competition.
Families can take part in an exciting Easter Bunny Trail running from 5-19 April in Crowland and Holbeach before heading to Ayscoughfee Gardens on 14 May for the Wellbeing in the Wilderness event.
Sports enthusiasts can get involved in tennis activities from 30 June to 13 July at Ayscoughfee Gardens, while nature lovers can celebrate Love Parks Week from 28-31 July, with events in Cowbit, Deeping St Nicholas, Sutton Bridge, and Pinchbeck.
Other highlights include the fun-filled Give It a Go event in Holbeach on 10 August, the ever-popular Pumpkin Festival in Spalding on 4 October, and the Scarecrow Trail from 24 October to 2 November. The year will end on a festive note with Christmas Light Switch On in Spalding on 28 November, and Christmas Town Trails throughout December in Donington and Long Sutton.
