The South Holland Centre’s festive pantomime, Snow White, proved to be a huge success, drawing in record-breaking audiences throughout December. Produced by Polka Dot Pantomimes, the show ran for 40 performances from 7th to 30th December and attracted thousands of spectators.
A total of 12,317 tickets were sold—an impressive 86% of all available seats—marking a significant increase from the 78% sales achieved for Beauty and the Beast in 2023. The pantomime was particularly popular with schools and community groups, with 28 organisations attending, including Ayscoughfee Hall School, Quadring Primary, and Mencap.
Audience members were full of praise for the production, taking to social media and Google reviews to share their excitement. One Facebook user described it as a “great pantomime,” adding, “Me and my children loved it. Can’t wait for next year!” Another called it “one of the best Polka Dot Pantomimes,” highlighting the impressive music, staging, and performances. Google reviewers also commended the cast and value for money, with one stating, “Morgana, Nanny Nelly, and Herman were awesome, but so were the rest of the cast.”
Joanne Mackel, Manager of the South Holland Centre, expressed her gratitude to both the production team and audiences for making Snow White the most successful pantomime yet. “A big thank you to everyone who booked tickets, including all the local schools and community groups. I hope you’re as excited as I am for The Wizard of Oz and Rapunzel, both coming later this year!”
Darren Maddison, Company Director at Polka Dot Pantomimes, echoed this enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled that Snow White received amazing feedback and record attendance. We can’t wait to welcome audiences back for Rapunzel in 2025.”
