A new creative partnership is offering artists and heritage organisations a unique opportunity to collaborate and uncover the region’s rich history in innovative ways.
The South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership has teamed up with Arts&Heritage (A&H) as part of Story Tellers, an Arts Council England-funded programme focused on celebrating local culture through artistic expression. This initiative will see the launch of free Artist and Heritage Matchmaking Workshops, designed to connect creative minds with heritage professionals to bring fresh perspectives to untold local stories.
The workshops will be held across three locations:
📍 Cley Hall Hotel, Spalding – Saturday 1st March, 10:30am – 3:30pm
📍 North Sea Observatory, Chapel St Leonards – Sunday 2nd March, 10am – 3:30pm
📍 Boston Guildhall – Monday 3rd March, 10am – 3:30pm
Participants will have the chance to explore creative collaborations, develop long-term partnerships, and potentially access future funding opportunities. Each attendee will receive a £50 travel contribution, and lunch is provided.
Councillor Sarah Sharpe (Boston Borough Council), Councillor Graham Marsh (East Lindsey District Council), and Councillor Elizabeth Sneath (South Holland District Council) welcomed the initiative, saying:
“This exciting partnership with Arts&Heritage will help forge lasting connections between artists and heritage experts, creating new ways to celebrate Lincolnshire’s fascinating history. Story Tellers provides a fantastic opportunity for collaboration and the discovery of new narratives that showcase the richness of our local heritage.”
Spaces for each workshop are limited to 30 participants, so early registration is encouraged. To sign up, email npo@e-lindsey.gov.uk, stating whether you are an artist or a heritage partner.
