Lincolnshire County Council is calling on parents to take part in a short survey to help assess the demand for childcare places across the county.
The council aims to ensure there are enough childcare options for working parents, those in education or training, children with special educational needs, and families accessing funded childcare entitlements.
While the council does not directly provide childcare, it works closely with private nurseries, voluntary organisations, independent providers, and schools to help shape local services that are flexible, sustainable, and responsive to community needs.
To gain a better understanding of childcare provision, parents are being asked to complete a short survey.
Cllr Mrs Patricia Bradwell OBE, executive member for children’s services, said:
“It’s vital that parents have access to suitable childcare, so they can take advantage of the support available to them and pursue work, study, or training. The insights from this survey will help identify any local gaps in provision, which we can then work with providers to address. Please take a few moments to share your views to help shape childcare services in Lincolnshire.”
The survey is open from 17 February to 18 March and can be completed online at www.letstalk.lincolnshire.gov.uk/childcaresurvey2025.
